Fashion week is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year in various cities for all fashion enthusiasts. The most important events take place in Milan, Paris, London and New York. Some other cities, with their fashion weeks, promote their emerging designers, independent brands and innovative startups. This is an opportunity to make them known to the public/buyers and other important figures in the fashion world. In the shows of the less famous fashion weeks we can still find clothes created by truly extraordinary and innovative emerging designers. Not only that, we find accessories, bags and leather ornaments that enhance the garments even more.
Today I would like to talk about the "Rome Fashion Week" where Nivaria had the pleasure of participating in the fashion show, getting to know its showcases and events in different parts of the city. In the fashion show, leather was an essential element of the total look: bags , waistcoats, belts, shoe covers, hats. There really was a large choice. I was struck by the KANFITRITEA model by Damiano Di Pede, a yellow leather vest over a really cute black down sweater.
I really wanted to know the jury's verdict regarding the emerging designer chosen for the “Accessories Design Award” category. And here is the result:
I hope I can find out more about this young and talented designer. Maybe someday she'll make us a mummy bag ? And who knows… we will try.
All in all, I found this Rome fashion week really interesting, I also had the pleasure of chatting with some emerging designers that I'm sure will be among the greats again in a few years. Also discovered in the showcase a designer who makes wonderful handcrafted hats, Roxana Batog. The hats are truly original and of excellent quality. A luxury accessory...
